Newmerix Corporation Launches First Two Products in Its Automate! Software Suite
"Packaged enterprise applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, are among the largest IT investments most companies make, and are critical to the business once deployed," said Melissa Webster, a Research Director at IDC. "At the same time, ERP systems are highly change-oriented. Human resources and financial systems must constantly respond to changes in the business, in the regulatory environment, and in laws and tax code. ERP teams are struggling to keep up with this rapid pace of change."

Packaged applications are built on top of a database that holds all content, data and customizations relevant to the operation of the application. When changes are made to the packaged application, each change needs to be migrated from the development environment through to production. Newmerix's technology understands the unique packaged application architecture and can recognize the impact that changes can have on the application. Using this information, Newmerix's products can intelligently respond to these changes in any stage of the development cycle, saving developers hours of time maintaining test scripts, migrating databases and managing database versions.
