Sage ERP X3 V6 Unveiled

By Doug Caverly

A new version of Sage ERP X3 has been announced, and it's supposed to pack quite a lot of improvements compared to what was available before. They aren't all minor tweaks, either, as Sage claims the software will help users save significant amounts of time and money.

Sage ERP X3 v6 should have 583 "enhancements and new features" to improve its performance with respect to process optimization and agility, international development, communication between dispersed teams, customer experience, and a number of other things.

It effectively plays well with others, too, operating in 64 bits for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, RedHat Linux 5, IBM AIX 5.3, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and Oracle Database 11g R2 with Real Application Clusters and EXADATA compliance. And an international support team's been created.

Christophe Letellier, the general manager of Sage ERP X3 Worldwide, stated as a result, "Sage ERP X3 v6 represents an important evolution in terms of usability, agility and tailored provision for mid-market companies. The solution provides a complete view of a company's operations and total financial control throughout the entire organisation. It is a highly flexible solution... and is fully deployable either on premise or on the web."

Sage ERP X3 v6 should be available everywhere (or at least in as many countries as it will ever be available) by the end of this year's third quarter.
