the Real ERP Players Please Stand Up?
One
of China's leading local ERP vendors opened its first
US offices last month but doesn't plan to hawk its wares
in the highly competitive enterprise applications market
there. Instead, Kingdee International Software Group hopes
to use its expertise with the Chinese market to position
itself as a consulting partner and outsourced labour provider
for US companies. http://www.erpupdate.com/2004/0616.html

Oracle
Sees Growth From Outsourcing
Oracle's
financial reserves saw an infusion of cash from an outpouring
of outsourcing contracts secured in the last three months,
the company said. The Redwood Shores, Calif.-based firm,
which reported its fiscal third quarter financial statement
Thursday, said at least seven new large-scale contracts
helped contribute to its $2.5 billion in third quarter
revenues and $635 million in net income. Oracle also said
its earnings of 12-cents per share were in line with analysts
expectations. http://www.erpupdate.com/2004/0317.html

Is
ERP Getting Stodgy In Its Old Age?
Everyone
agrees that companies in the Fortune 500 -- even the Global
2000 -- are a saturated market where enterprise resource
planning (ERP) software is concerned. While large vendors
like Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP continue to develop modules
and upgrades, the days of the enormous new suite installation
seem to be over. http://www.erpupdate.com/2004/0121.html
