The newest release of SYSPRO's ERP software is officially a hit. At the 2010 American Business Awards, SYSPRO 6.1 proved that it had wowed folks by winning the People's Choice Stevie Award for Favorite New End User Software Product.

If you don't happen to be familiar with the Stevie Awards, we'll take a moment to establish that they are indeed important. The ceremony, which took place at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York, was hosted by Cheryl Casone of the Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Also, according to a statement released by SYSPRO, over 2,700 organizations vied for different Stevie Awards this year, which speaks to a pretty high level of competition.

On to the info pertaining to SYSPRO's ERP offering, then. SYSPRO USA President Joey Benadretti said after the big win, "SYSPRO 6.1 truly raises the bar for ERP software with new architecture and modules, feature sets, workflow and customization capabilities."

Benadretti then continued, "SYSPRO 6.1 contains over 1,500 new customer-requested features and functions plus dramatic ease-of-use enhancements that enable even mid-market manufacturers and distributors with limited resources and skills to gain all the benefits of a leading-edge ERP solution."

Let's hope the whole ERP industry benefits from SYSPRO's moment in the spotlight.
