Solarsoft Business Systems has introduced a cloud-based version of its ERP platform for discrete manufacturers.

The iVP ERP solution is already being used by 350 manufacturing companies across 2,500 plants, in order to eliminate shipping errors, tighten inventory accuracy and strengthen enterprise-wide control and supplier management. The launch of a pay monthly SaaS model now gives companies greater choice meaning they can opt for either a Cloud-based ERP system or a traditional on premise solution based on their individual requirements.

Our new Cloud-based ERP solution for discrete manufacturers relieves them of the burden of owning, updating and maintaining their own systems, with all the skill, labor and expense involved," said Steven Hargreaves, Product Director at Solarsoft.

"This means they are free to concentrate on what they are good at - making things. It also ensures that sensitive and expensive servers are no longer being housed on dusty shop floors, and that billing is consolidated-into one predictable monthly service charge."

Solarsoft's iVP software is ideal for single plant to enterprise level discrete manufacturers including plastics & rubber, stamping and forge, automotive supply chain and general manufacturing companies in fast moving industries with highly integrated supply chains. The product has a number of features and capabilities including built-in shop floor data collection, barcode reader/printer support and a graphical production planning workbench which gives production managers a clear and accurate view of current and planned utilization across plant.

"One of the clearest advantages of choosing the cloud option is that manufacturers gain earlier access to new capabilities without having to wait until a new fiscal period to secure the capital budget," said Hargreaves.
